For over 20 years, the Interstate Horse Center (IHC) has been enriching human lives by using the power of nature and animals to help people meet personal goals. Through support of the Healing Horsemanship Foundation IHC strives to provide clients with the peace of mind that they will receive the services they need, regardless of their ability to pay. Our participants require financial support to remain in our program beyond minimal limits of their usual funding sources for mental health care. Although IHC charges a fee, it doesn't cover costs; so in-kind and monetary donations are needed to support programming.

A $50 donation provides care for a therapy horse for a week (or therapy cat for over a month). $150 sponsors a single therapy session for a client while $450 sponsors a client in group therapy for a month. A gift of $1,000 sponsors a full season of Horses For Heroes sessions for a veteran and his/her family. Corporate or individual sponsorship of the 2011 Pilot Program of Horses For Heroes® is available: $5,000/$10,000/$15,000 or $30,000 Full Sponsorship of entire pilot program. [The goal for 2001 Horses For Heroes is to provide all programs free-of-charge to veterans who have served during any war-time era.]

CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES
We cherish the many corporate relationships developed since shifting the focus of services at Interstate Horse Center from competitive horsemanship to therapeutic horsemanship in 2001. We welcome new corporate relationships. Some of our corporate partners provide in-kind product donations; others financial assistance; and still others, Corporate Volunteer support. Increasingly, companies are looking for long-term partnerships with non-profit organizations that engage their employees and reflect their corporate social responsibility agenda.  We are committed to providing our corporate friends with a meaningful experience that motivates their employees and positively positions them with key constituencies.

Corporate Volunteering:
Each year, employees from area companies as well as members of community organizations and schools volunteer their time. These generous folks leave busy lives behind to work in nature for a day, often enjoying a campfire meal before the day is done. They do everything from “burdock patrol,” gardening and blazing our Nature Trail to supporting the educational and/or therapy programs. Thousands of hours of volunteer labor generously given to us by 200+ volunteers made it possible for us to donate $200,000 in services to our community since 2001.
